7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Compensation Structure
The post of Registrar at NIT Mizoram is a highly prestigious Group 'A' administrative position positioned at Level 14 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The entry-level basic pay is Rs. 1,44,200. With the current Dearness Allowance (DA) at 53% amounting to Rs. 76,426, and House Rent Allowance (HRA) for Class Z cities like Aizawl calculated at 9% (Rs. 12,978), the compensation is substantial. Additionally, Transport Allowance (TA) of Rs. 7,200 plus DA (Rs. 11,016) is provided. This brings the Gross Monthly Salary to approximately Rs. 2,44,620. Statutory Reservation & Age Relaxation Guidelines
In accordance with the official Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) Office Memorandums, NIT Mizoram strictly implements the statutory reservation policy of the Government of India. Upper age limit relaxations are granted as follows: 5 years for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), 3 years for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL), and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The selected candidate will be placed on a probation period of one year, which may be extended by the Board of Governors (BoG) based on performance evaluation.
No service bond is required, but the appointee must serve a mandatory notice period of three months or pay three months' salary in lieu thereof before resigning.
The selected candidate will be posted at the permanent or temporary campus of the National Institute of Technology Mizoram located in Aizawl, Mizoram.
The maximum age limit for direct recruitment to the post of Registrar is 56 years, with relaxation applicable as per Government of India and DoPT norms.
